ABOUT THE CONGRESS
The Malaysian Cardiovascular Interventional Symposium (MYLIVE) has been a highly anticipated annual conference on interventional cardiovascular medicine since 2004. This year, under the theme "Navigating New Frontiers in Interventional Cardiology," the conference will take place at the prestigious Hilton & Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, with live transmission from the renowned Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) from 8th to 10th August 2024.
MYLIVE, organized by the Interventional Cardiovascular Society of Malaysia (ICSM) and supported by the National Heart Association of Malaysia (NHAM), is a significant educational event in the region that aims to bring together cardiology professionals for networking, experience sharing, and exploring potential collaborations, research, and innovation. With a plethora of reliable randomized controlled studies and real-world evidence accessible in the cardiology field, cardiovascular professionals are equipped to provide optimal care to their patients.
The three-day conference will host a wide range of sessions such as case-sharing, treatment methodologies, and updates on specific areas including left main, bifurcation, chronic total occlusion, long and small vessels, calcified lesions, STEMI, structural, and peripheral intervention. The main goal of the conference is to integrate the most current scientific evidence into daily practices.
MYLIVE 2024 will include a special presentation of the Master Award at the opening ceremony to recognize the contributions of outstanding individuals in the field. The conference will also have a panel of experts who will analyze the top cases submitted and share their approaches to treatment based on their own clinical practices. Additional highlights of the event will feature various symposiums and teaching sessions with other interventional societies, as well as a dedicated symposium focusing on the use of intravascular imaging and its role in physiological assessments. It is a not-to-be-missed event for all cardiology professionals.
We look forward to seeing you at MYLIVE 2024!

Welcome to Malaysia’s largest interventional cardiology meeting, MYLIVE 2024!
Now in its 20th edition, MYLIVE returns to the host centre of the 1st MYLIVE, the National Heart Institute of Malaysia (IJN). The theme this year – Navigating New Frontiers of Interventional Cardiology – is equally meaningful, with the ongoing emergence of new tools and techniques.
The interventional cardiology ecosystem is never shorn of innovation – efforts from scientists, engineers, designers, investors and other stakeholders – to bring new technology to the clinical frontline with the aim of improving the morbidity and mortality that associated with cardiovascular disease. Such innovation, research and practice can best be demonstrated in a multifaceted educational event – combining live cases, didactic lectures, case presentations and other focused discussions – bringing together local and international experts so that knowledge can be shared generously, sincerely and openly, amongst all present at MYLIVE 2024.
As interventional cardiology moves on leaps and bounds in transcatheter structural heart disease intervention, it is in the coronary artery space where innovation continues to see rapid progress – from drug eluting balloons and intravascular lithotripsy; to microcatheter based coronary physiology and angiography based fractional flow reserve (FFR); to advancing intravascular imaging by combining with FFR; to modern anti-thrombotic strategies post transcatheter interventions, and others. Such technologies will not improve the understanding of coronary artery disease, but improve our care plans at the level of each individual patient – truly personalised and precision therapy.
I congratulate the Interventional Cardiovascular Society of Malaysia (ISCM), led by Dr Kamaraj Selvaraj, the Scientific Chairperson Dr Kumara Gurupparan Ganesan, and the team at IJN, for bringing MYLIVE 2024 to reality. Also returning to KL Sentral after 7 years, MYLIVE 2024 promises to bring you the one of this region’s most exciting interventional cardiology meetings.
With over 100 Faculty, including prominent experts from the Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America, and continued support from Industry, we look forward to the education, the science and the networking opportunities at MYLIVE 2024, to set the stage for the next decade of interventional cardiology for Malaysia.

Dear all, welcome once again to MyLive. This year in 2024, we celebrate the theme “Navigating New Frontiers in Interventional Cardiology”.
As usual, we expect a program that is action packed as well as informational. So as the theme suggests, to be able to navigate the new frontiers in interventional cardiology.
This year, we have 21 live transmissions from IJN (Institute Jantung Negara). This will encompass all the complex and complicated cases that cardiologists will face in their daily practice. There are cases in LM, CTO, structural, peripheral and even innovative interventional methods such as DCB and Magmaris (bioresorbable stent).
As per usual, we will be joined by top interventionalists from around the world, including Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong and many more. The new highlights of this year’s program include the first structural heart pre-congress session on the 7th of August and also 3 collaborative sessions on the final day between ICSM and Indonesia, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
So I hope that you will join the varied sessions wholeheartedly to gain the knowledge, information and interventional methods that I am sure will be of benefit to one and all in facing the complexities of intervention.
With that, I once again wish you all welcome and I hope that you will have a fruitful 3 days in MyLive and in Malaysia to not only gain from the congress but also to enjoy the warmth and hospitality of our country. Thank you.
