ABOUT THE CONGRESS
The National Heart Association of Malaysia (NHAM) Annual Scientific Congress is a premier platform where healthcare professionals, researchers, and industry leaders come together to exchange knowledge, showcase groundbreaking research, and explore the latest innovations in cardiovascular medicine.
We are delighted to welcome you to Kuala Lumpur for the NHAM Congress 2027, themed "From Prevention to Precision: Cardiovascular Medicine in the Digital Era." This year's congress reflects the rapid transformation of cardiovascular care, where advances in digital health, artificial intelligence, precision medicine, and data-driven technologies are reshaping the way we prevent, diagnose, treat, and manage cardiovascular disease.
Bringing together more than 160 distinguished local and international faculty members alongside thousands of cardiologists, physicians, allied healthcare professionals, researchers, and industry partners, NHAM Congress 2027 provides an exceptional platform for scientific exchange, multidisciplinary collaboration, and professional networking. United by a shared commitment to reducing the global burden of cardiovascular disease, participants will explore the full spectrum of cardiovascular medicine—from preventive strategies and early detection to cutting-edge therapeutics, advanced imaging, interventional cardiology, heart failure management, electrophysiology, and digital innovations that are transforming patient care.
Over two and a half days, delegates can expect a comprehensive scientific programme featuring state-of-the-art lectures, plenary sessions, interactive symposia, case-based discussions, live debates, and hands-on learning opportunities. The congress will showcase the latest clinical evidence, technological advancements, and emerging trends that are shaping the future of cardiovascular medicine while promoting meaningful collaboration between clinicians, researchers, innovators, and policymakers.
More than just a scientific meeting, NHAM Congress 2027 is an opportunity to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas, inspire innovation, and build partnerships that will advance cardiovascular care across Malaysia, the region, and beyond.

Dear Colleagues and Friends, One of the commonest “corridor” questions that I had over the recent years has been: “Will AI take over or replace us in Cardiology?” My answer to that is simple. AI will not REPLACE us. However, AI will EMPOWER and EMBRACE us, one way or another. And the proportion of empowerment will only grow, definitely not dwindle, with time. Hence it gives me great pleasure and honour to proudly announce the rendition of 2027 NHAM Congress, with digital technologies and AI being the central and integral part of the meeting! Notwithstanding the fact that our grand old tradition of making this year’s Congress a fun, interactive and most innovative way to learn and share essential updates and knowledge, there will be new sessions which will definitely be more than meet the eyes!
So, my dear friends and colleagues, mark your calendar right now and we shall see one another at NHAM Congress 2027! |

“AI is about amplifying human potential, not replacing it.” — Fei-Fei Li
It is my great pleasure and privilege, on behalf of the organizing committee, to welcome you to our conference, themed "From Prevention to Precision: Cardiovascular Medicine in the Digital Era." Whether you will be travelling from across the country or joining us from overseas, your participation reflects our shared commitment to advancing cardiovascular medicine through innovation, collaboration, and lifelong learning. Cardiology has always been at the forefront of medical innovation. Today, we stand at another defining moment in our profession. Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a concept of the future. Instead, it is rapidly becoming an integral part of our daily clinical practice. From enhancing diagnostic accuracy and improving imaging interpretation, to predicting cardiovascular risk, personalizing treatment strategies, and streamlining healthcare delivery, AI is transforming the way we care for our patients. Yet, as we embrace these remarkable technological advances, we must also remember that medicine remains fundamentally human. AI should complement the clinical judgment, compassion, and ethical responsibility that define our profession. The future of cardiology lies not in choosing between technology versus clinicians, but in harnessing the strengths of both, to achieve better patient outcomes. Throughout this conference, we have assembled an outstanding panel of distinguished speakers, experts, and researchers who will share their knowledge, experiences, and vision in the field. This is alongside our annual offerings of the Heart Failure Research Award, Young Investigator Award, Moderated Poster & Clinical Cases Sessions and (the much anticipated) NHAM Premier Cup! I encourage everyone to actively participate in the scientific sessions, engage in meaningful discussions, ask questions, exchange ideas, and build new collaborations. Innovation thrives when diverse perspectives come together. I wish you all an inspiring, productive, and enjoyable conference and may the knowledge we gain, the ideas we exchange, and the partnerships we forge over the course of the conference help shape the future of cardiology for the benefit of our patients and our communities.
