ABOUT THE CONGRESS

The Malaysian Cardiovascular Interventional Symposium (MYLIVE) has been a highly anticipated annual conference on interventional cardiovascular medicine since 2004. This year, under the theme "Best Evidence for Best Practice," the conference will take place at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel in Petaling Jaya, with live transmission from the renowned University Malaya Medical Center (UMMC) from 10^th to 12^th August 2023.

MYLIVE, organized by the Interventional Cardiovascular Society of Malaysia (ICSM) and supported by the National Heart Association of Malaysia (NHAM), is a significant educational event in the region that aims to bring together cardiology professionals for networking, experience sharing, and exploring potential collaborations, research, and innovation. With a plethora of reliable randomized controlled studies and real-world evidence accessible in the cardiology field, cardiovascular professionals are equipped to provide optimal care to their patients.

The three-day conference will host a wide range of sessions such as case-sharing, treatment methodologies, and updates on specific areas including left main, bifurcation, chronic total occlusion, long and small vessels, calcified lesions, STEMI, structural, and peripheral intervention. The main goal of the conference is to integrate the most current scientific evidence into daily practices.

MYLIVE 2023 will include a special presentation of the Master Award at the opening ceremony to recognize the contributions of outstanding individuals in the field. The conference will also have a panel of experts who will analyze the top cases submitted and share their approaches to treatment based on their own clinical practices. Additional highlights of the event will feature various symposiums and teaching sessions with other interventional societies, as well as a dedicated symposium focusing on the use of intravascular imaging and its role in physiological assessments. It is a not-to-be-missed event for all cardiology professionals.

Welcome to Malaysia’s largest interventional cardiology meeting, MYLIVE 2023! Following a successful MYLIVE last year, a full physical meeting, the National Heart Association of Malaysia (NHAM) derived the confidence and energy to maintain this momentum for yet another edition this year. MYLIVE 2023 will address contemporary issues, modern techniques of interventional cardiology, and more. This we do so by fusing the experience and expertise of Malaysians specialists, with eminent experts, from around the world. Three years passed since the COVID-19 pandemic, and as we transition into a new era of healthcare delivery, the stakeholders in the interventional cardiology space have also had to evolve. The balance between delivering novel, cutting-edge technologies, and ensuring better access of these to the majority of our patients. Therefore, for MYLIVE 2023, we are proud to continue this great tradition – whereby tools and techniques for therapeutic interventions and diagnostics will be showcased, including at live demonstrations – a feast of both precision and personalised treatments. I congratulate the Interventional Cardiovascular Society of Malaysia (ISCM), led by Dr Kamaraj Selvaraj, the Scientific Chairperson A/Prof Dr Ahmad Syadi Mahmood Zuhdi, and the team at the host centre Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, for bringing MYLIVE 2023 to reality. With over 100 Faculty, including prominent experts from the Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America and robust support from Industry, we envisage a unique convergence of education and networking -an indelible experience for all who attend it. Dear friends and colleagues  As the scientific chairman of MYLIVE 2023, it is with great pleasure to welcome you to our next annual scientific meeting which will be held from the 10th to 12th  of August 2023.  The time of the year has come where local and international faculties gather together to share and discuss the latest scientific updates, knowledge and expertise in the field of interventional cardiology.  Once again we will bring to you, all the excitement and thrill of live transmissions ranging from coronary, structural, peripheral and electrophysiology interventions.  This year’s live case transmissions will be hosted by the Cardiology unit from the University of Malaya Medical Centre; the premier teaching hospital located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  We have a group of renowned operators to showcase their skills and techniques in various complex cases and they will be as engaging and interactive as possible.  It will be yet another great learning and knowledge sharing opportunity for interventional cardiologists from all level of experience. 3. Cases submitted via email, fax or post will not be accepted. Cases must be SUBMITTED BY 11:59 p.m. (Malaysia time), on SUNDAY, 2nd July 2023. Late submissions will not be accepted.

4. Title: Capitalised Each Word except prepositions such as “of”, “for”, “and”, “with”, etc.

5. Author and Co-authors: The first name is the presenting author. First name/middle name use initial, last name (surname) in full. Do not use titles (Dr) or degrees (MD). When more than one author is listed, use numbers to match authors and institutions.

6. Affiliations: Department, institution/hospital/organisation. Do not include the address.

8. The cases summary format should have the following sub-headings in bold:- -

•      Introduction of the case
•      Objective
•      Description of the problem, procedure, technique and equipment's used
•      Results

Criteria for Best of Malaysia

• Should be below 40 years of age by 31^st December 2023
• The first author listed must be the presenter in person
• The presenter must be a medical doctor
• The presenter must declare he/she is a Malaysian and reside in Malaysia, the case is done in Malaysia by a Malaysian operator and the presenter is involve in performing the case.

Rules for Submission

• Submitter must be a valid member of the Interventional Cardiovascular Society of Malaysia (ICSM).
• Cases are subjected to approval by the scientific committee and will be accepted upon full paid registration of the presenting author as an attendee of the MYLIVE 2023 congress.
• All accepted cases will be included in the related course materials. Cases may be edited for publication. Submission of cases therefore constitutes the author’s consent for publication of cases.
• Closing date for case submission is 2^nd July 2023. Late submission will not be entertained.

Review, Acceptance & Notification

• An email acknowledgement will be sent upon receipt of your case submission. If you do not receive the acknowledgement, please contact the Secretariat at mylive@platinumpodium.com.my
• Evaluation will be based on quality, clarity and relevance for our audience, as well as the significance of the materials presented.
• Presenting authors will receive email notification of case acceptance/rejection by 16^th July 2023. The notification will include information on the presentation date and time.
• The Organising Committee reserves the rights to make final decision on case acceptance/rejection and presentation schedule.
• The presenting authors must register for the congress before the deadline on 20^th July  2023.
